SLOWTIDE
SLOWTIDE
For a few years, I immersed myself in experimenting with India ink, exploring its fluidity and expressive potential. After a trip to the Big Island in Hawaii, I found inspiration in the island’s iconic palm trees. Using a fan brush on watercolor paper, I began illustrating them, capturing their movement and texture. As the series grew, I arranged the artwork into a repeat pattern and took a chance—cold calling SLOWTIDE to share my work. They connected with the aesthetic, which led to the creation of the “Luca” Beach Towel, featured below.
